What it does

The museum continues to present the stories and history of Stony Plain and Parkland County through their many historic buildings and artifacts. Events held were Canada Day Farmers Day and Harvest Festival Celebrations. We also ran a school program primarily in English but also in French as well as offering senior tours and in person tours for our many visitors. The museum relies heavily on volunteers to carry out these activities and accumulated over 18 000 volunteer hours in 2024.

Fundraising cost per $1 raised

Fiscal year ending December 31, 2024

$0.14 spent raising each $1 of donations and fundraising revenue.

Fundraising spending of $42,249, divided by $293,669 raised (tax-receipted donations $210,192 + donations not receipted $12,923 + fundraising event and activity revenue $70,554). This is one way to read fundraising spending against what fundraising brought in. It is not a rating: costs like this vary with a charity's size, its work and how it raises money, and this leaves out government and earned revenue.

What this page can't tell you

  • How many volunteers it has, or what its work achieved. CRA collects no volunteer count and no impact figure.
  • Anything about a later or earlier year. Every figure here is from one return, the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024.
  • Whether it is still registered today. This is CRA's bulk file of 2024 returns, which has no live status; CRA's own charity search does.
  • Anything about societies and clubs that aren't registered charities. They file nothing public.
